GF Design Studio can provide several key prototyping services.  We can produce 3D prototypes and tooling for your projects quickly and accurately. Our primary in house tool is a 3-axis numerically controlled (NC) gantry router. This machine can work within a 12' X 6' X 2' envelope. It is able to machine foam or other tooling materials of densities up to 50 lb/sq ft.  For other requirements we have access to rapid prototyping equipment that allows us to construct physical objects using additive material technology.

Accurate Prototyping from 3D CAD:  GF Design Studio can accept CAD surfaces of many different formats (IGES/STL/OBJ being the most popular) from customers. This data is used to create NURBS surfaces, which are then used to generate tool-path information that is fed to the NC machine. Using these techniques, very accurate prototypes can be built.

Hard and Soft Tooling:  Rapid production of 'soft' tooling allows us to proceed from design to actual layups very rapidly. If desired, production-quality hard tools can be constructed from plugs that are made on the NC machine.

Tooling for Diverse Projects:  We can produce tooling for various industries that include Automotive, Aerospace, Marine and Recreation.  We can make the tooling for any of your project needs.
